Move in/out Cleaning Checklist

Moving can be stressful, let me take care of the cleanup. Our detailed move-out checklist ensures every surface, corner, and cupboard is left sparkling clean and ready for inspection. Whether you're handing over keys or preparing for new tenants, I'll make sure the space feels fresh and cared for. 

General (All Rooms)

  • Remove all trash and debris

  • Dust ceiling fans, vents, and light fixtures

  • Dust baseboards, window sills, ledges, and trim

  • Wipe walls and doors for marks/scuffs

  • Clean light switches, outlets, and door handles

  • Wipe interior windows, frames, and tracks

  • Clean blinds (dust or wipe)

  • Vacuum and/or sweep floors

  • Mop hard floors

  • Check for cobwebs in corners and ceilings

  • Wipe down closets (Shelves, rods, doors)

Kitchen

  • Wipe inside and outside of all cabinets and drawers

  • Clean and disinfect countertops and backsplash

  • Scrub sink and polish faucet

  • Clean inside and outside of refrigerator (remove shelves if needed)

  • Clean inside and outside of oven, including racks

  • Wipe stove top, range hood, and knobs

  • Clean inside and outside of microwave

  • Wipe dishwasher interior edge and exterior

  • Clean under and behind appliances (if moveable)

  • Sweep and mop floors thoroughly

Bathrooms

  • Scrub and disinfect toilets (base, seat, behind, and around)

  • Clean bathtub and/or shower, including tile, grout, and glass doors

  • Wipe down vanity, countertop, and sink

  • Polish mirrors and fixtures

  • Clean inside and outside of cabinets and drawers

  • Wipe towel racks, toilet paper holder, and baseboards

  • Sweep and mop floors

Bedrooms

  • Dust and wipe all surfaces, including window ledges

  • Clean inside closets and shelves

  • Wipe doors and baseboards

  • Vacuum or mop floors

Living Room / Common Areas

  • Dust and wipe all surfaces

  • Clean windows, tracks, and ledges

  • Wipe baseboards and trim

  • Clean sliding door tracks (if applicable)

  • Vacuum or mop floors

Final Touches

  • Check for any missed spots or fingerprints on glass/stainless

  • Take out all trash

  • Leave the space tidy and ready for inspection
